Upon the initial setup of your database, there are many Field Values filled in for you, based on what PetPoint users have suggested in the past. Other Field Values and Items need to be customized by your individual organization. These documents will assist you in that task. To utilize them, you need to have Microsoft Excel. Please take some time to go over these before beginning training, and email the edited version back to your Implementation Manager for import.
• PetPoint Lists Worksheet will help you gather ideas for the various lists in PetPoint you will be filling out during your setup. This is a word file that will assist you in gathering the correct data for persons or agencies needed during initial setup.
Please print and fill this out before your first meeting.
• AnimalType_Species_Breed.xls is an Excel spreadsheet which contains choices for Animal Types / Species / Breeds other than dogs and cats, which are pre-populated. If your organization handles animals besides dogs & cats, we can import the choices in this spreadsheet for you “as is” or you can save & edit the spreadsheet and email it back to us, and we will import the remaining choices into your setup.
• Exam_Setup_Tables_SMS.xls and Exam_Setup_Tables_Lite.xls are Excel spreadsheets which contain choices for the Field Values & Items that are found on the Care – Exam screen. We can import the choices in either of these spreadsheets for you “as is” or you can save & edit one of these two spreadsheets and email the edited version back to us, and we will import the remaining choices into your setup. Each version of the spreadsheet contains different choices – one is geared towards a full-service / traditional shelter with a veterinary staff on-site (SMS); the other is geared towards group whose veterinary care is outsourced (LITE).

• BehaviorCategory_Test_Result.xls is an Excel spreadsheet which contains choices for the Field Values that are found on the Care – Behavior screen. We can import the choices in this spreadsheet for you “as is” or you can save & edit the spreadsheet and email it back to us, and we will import the choices into your setup. Please contact us after your initial training calls when you are ready to begin Behavior setup and training.
• HLE Suggested Field Values is an Excel spreadsheet that you will want to contact your Implementation Manager to send to you. This is used for groups who do Humane Law Enforcement and wish to use the Case portion of the program.
