As previously announced, January 5, 2009 marks the launch of Pethealth's Green Initiative. As of that date, the ShelterCare Gift of Insurance* will become paperless, thus drastically reducing Pethealth's carbon footprint while making the program more efficient for all involved. Automatic enrollment through PetPoint into the ShelterCare program will be available to only those who adopt a microchipped animal and provide a valid email address. (However, pets that are not microchipped may still be eligible for the gift - see below.) The Documents of Insurance will be delivered via email to the new adopter.

Receipt Changes, Admin Changes

• There are new changes to the receipt screen that all users will encounter.  There are many more ways to look up items now, and two tax codes can be added.  For more information about the changes to the Receipt screen, please refer to Online Help.
• There are new fields and changes to the admin options, add/edit Item page.  For more information and an explanation of the new fields and functionality, please refer to Online Help.

Inventory Management Module

• The Inventory Management Module has arrived!  It consists of two components, inventory and ordering.  To learn more about it, please see Online Help.

Report Changes

• Receipt: Daily Cash - we've added the ability to "group by" the Cash Drawer.
• Person by Item Extended - there is a new column to indicate when the item has been voided, as well added a column for "species."
• Pending Euthanasia - we've added the "Scheduled Euthanasia Date" to this report.
• Stage: Review - we've added a detail and summary option.

Memo Changes

• For Person and Animal Memo Subtypes, you can indicate that a memo subtype is a "special alert."  This causes people and animals with these memo subtypes to give a "pop-up" of the memo if someone looks up the record.  Please see http://www.petpoint.com/help/add_edit_field_value.htm#special_alert_memos for more information on setting these up.
